The only he could do was bother to just talk as best he could. Normally though he was a silent creature who preferred time alone without anyone around to sulk. It was the only time he had to even be weak as the north would call it. But he really hadn't meant to be that way he just couldn't help it when it was like someone had blown a hole through his previously huge heart. Of course it had to end sometime he supposed in all reality. Now he was a cold hearted bastard for the most part.
He had already submerged his body into the springs to feel their soothing little waves lap up against his body. Although for a colt whom was in his second year of training it didn't mean he was as fit as he could be and that he didn't get sore. He was working on getting to that level at least. Once he was overly fit for the level he was at they would move him up and continue on that way until he was in the army. From there he would have to work harder to make his way up the ranks.
The seemed to take longer for that ebony and white stag to follow him into the water although Kludd paid little mind as his daggers found themselves just touching the bottom of the pool. He lifted his head more so he didn't inhale water and made his way off to one of his favorite spots. It was just at the right water level for him and most didn't stand there. When the other seemed to stand next to him Kludd ignored him as best he could but it didn't seem to take long before the other was asking him questions. Great. Although Kludd didn't feel like answering he would do it anyway just to at least seem polite. ”I was his step sons training partner. Thanks to that I suppose he paid more attention to me and even after his step son disappeared I stayed in his good graces.” he said with a shrug.
”Speeeeech!”

the hot water lapped against his ivory sides. all feeling had returned to his body and he'd nearly forgotten what it was like to not be so numb. he could feel every muscle in his body start to relax, loosening once by one. everything ached, he'd been so tensed against the cold. once back hoof sat at an angle and he arched his neck, allowing the warm air and hot water to work away at his stress and soreness. he couldn't imagine what life would be like within this mountain without these natural springs. it would be a living hell, that was for sure.
exhaustion made mordecai not so chatty anymore, but he had initiated the conversation, so he might as well see it through. he kept his harks turned towards the colt, waiting for the reply that might come. the colt could always choose to simply ignore the white stag, and if that became reality mordecai would simply go off to a secluded corner and spend a bit more time soaking before heading back to his quarters. he was almost hoping he would be ignored, but kludd did end up replying. "he seems to like you quite a bit. since i met him i haven't yet seen him show any favor to anyone." he hadn't known hellborn all that long, but it was obvious the dark king put trust in this colt. kludd was lucky to have become close to the northern king through such close a tie.
the relaxation that washed over him nearly made him forget that he'd be doing the same thing the next day, and the day after that, and so on until he actually made a name for himself. and who knew how long that could take. he let out a tired sigh. he'd fight through it. this day he'd just been testing the waters, making sure the training was doable for him, and also discovering what it was he had to do. it was mostly strength stuff, and since mordecai's skill was speed he didn't exactly excel at it. many of the colts he'd trained with were bred for strength and had an advantage over him. at least they couldn't outsmart him, he had the upper hand there.
